Scholar H-Index Calculator ("the extension") does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, browsing history, or usage analytics. There is no backend server operated by the developers, and no telemetry of any kind is built into the extension.

What the extension reads

• Google Scholar search result and profile pages, to compute bibliometric indices and display them inline.
• When you explicitly use the "refine" / "aggressive refine" features, the extension fetches the original source page of the specific paper you are viewing (on whatever domain hosts it — a publisher, arXiv, a repository, etc.) to recover author information Google Scholar truncates. This happens only for papers you are actively looking at, never in the background and never for your general browsing.

What the extension stores

• Your calculator settings (custom formulas, display preferences) and the install date, saved locally on your device via the browser's storage API (chrome.storage.local). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the developers.

What the extension does not do

• It does not read, log, or transmit your browsing history.
• It does not use cookies, fingerprinting, or any tracking/analytics technology.
• It does not sell or share data with third parties, because no user data is ever collected in the first place.
